This
1965 Plymouth Fury 2 door hardtop is owned by
Gerald and Rosalie Prosser of Coldstream, New Brunswick.
The Sport Fury hardtop model was Chrysler's answer to the Chevy Super Sport and
the Ford Galaxie 500XL (a mighty good answer I might add).
The Prossers purchased the vehicle in August of 1998 from Gerry Phillips of the
Hartland area of New Brunswick. The car resided in Tulsa, Oklahoma before arriving
here in the cold country.
The
car is white in color with a royal blue interior. It has the bucket seats and
floor console shift for the three speed automatic transmission. The interior is
accented with blue carpets as well as a blue dash.
Under the hood is the very strong Mopar 383 cubic inch engine with a two-barrel
carburetor. Other options on the car include power steering and power brakes.
Gerald
and Rosalie are members of the New Brunswick Antique Auto Club and on Wednesday
evenings when the weather is warm they can be seen crusing to the club meeting
with the windows all rolled down. A mighty fine example of a mid-sixties luxury
sports automobile.
The Sport Fury has been protected by the "Silver Wheel" plan since purchased
in 1998.
